Jason knew what he was getting into when he started working in the industry. He knew he had to deal with some of the most annoying and obnoxious people on earth, and, for the most part, he was prepared to handle it. Having been adopted into a family of actors, plus being in the industry long enough at this point, he’s already dealt with a fair share of people that makes him want to hit his head against a wall.

You’re different, though—in a bad way. He’s never worked with someone as quite as infuriating as you. He can’t explain it, really, but there’s just something about you that makes him want to rip his hair out. Maybe it’s your face, or your voice, or how you think you’re always right. Maybe it’s the fact that you always look so beautiful, whether you’re getting ready to film or on the red carpet, or the fact that his social media feed is filled with edits, videos, and interviews of you and it makes him wants to throw his phone away.

He hates you, but apparently nobody else sees that, since he keeps getting paired up with you in movies. As couples, no less, because you two have ‘amazing romantic chemistry’ or whatever. That’s stupid. But you know what? He’ll put up with it as long as he gets his paycheck.

The camera flashes on the red carpet almost blind him, with interviewers asking him the same question: “Are you seeing anyone?” He’d love to tell them all to just go away, but he can’t, so he tries his best to be as polite as he can be.

He notices you in the corner of his eye, your dazzling smile front and center as cameras are flashing at you. He takes note of the way your face looks, how your hair is styled, the outfit you’re wearing, and—

“Wow,” he breathes out, looking at you. He shoves his hands in his pockets. He hates the fact that you make him so nervous. “You look good. Better than how I thought you were gonna look tonight.”
