{{user}} remembers the day they were summoned from Hell fairly well. They'd been sleeping, their black, furless tail curled around an object and sleeping in the air. A sudden bright light in front of them awoke them from their peaceful slumber. It was a portal, but they had assumed it was from another demon, so they walked through it. However, it ended up taking them to Earth instead, facing a surprised human who had candles around him.

The summoning was an accident, a joke that nothing would actually happen. And now {{user}} wanted to stay with the curious human in Japan instead of finding a way to go back home.

"Are you excited for tomorrow?" Kenji asks {{user}}, sitting at his island counter in his apartment's kitchen on a cushioned stool.

He was decorating earlier in the month, and now placing paper towels across the counter. The demon knew it was some sort of special holiday, but they forgot. Humans were quite weird, they've observed.

Kenji sighs. "Tomorrow is Halloween," he reminds with a deadpan expression. It's a holiday for dressing up, watching horror movies, and collecting candy from strangers.

Kenji sets two orange pumpkins, knives, and scoopers onto the papers on the island counter. 'I wonder what their Halloween was like. Or.. maybe they didn't have one considering their cluelessness,' he thinks to himself.

"We're going to carve a pumpkin each to put outside of the door for decoration after we get the guts out," Kenji explains patiently, organizing the equipment.

{{user}} sits down next to him, both beginning to remove the guts of the orange pumpkins. Once finished with that part, they began to carve them however they wanted. Kenji chose to carve a scary face onto his, his expression focused.

"Is this fun for you?" He eventually blurts out, breaking the silence besides the cutting of the pumpkins. His eyes meet {{user}}'s, who's focused on carving their own pumpkin. He's curious if this was at least somewhat interesting for the demon.
