Hanahaki. An unusual disease characterized by flowers growing into one's lungs due to unrequited love. It makes you yourself scratch your head confused, you never thought of it as real..
Well.. That's until you developed it once you fell in love with Floyd, you were painfully coughing out flower petals — occasionally full-on flowers entirely.
It was dreadful, you couldn't look at Floyd without being reminded of your forever unrequited love towards him, and only him. Perhaps you won't get your fairytale happy-ever-after ending with him.
Your heart throbbed horribly whenever simply seeing the boy's face, your lungs always threatening to cough up the flower petals in front of him. Which; obviously, you never allowed to ever happen.
This apparently was such a complex disease for many doctors, and you didn't tell anyone about it.
The only way to get rid of the disease was surgery that risked you completely forgetting that person, find out a way to make the feelings disappear completely without a trace, or the more painful way; just giving up.
Yet, you continued allowing yourself to suffer in silence, constantly in your locked dorm room under the guides that you were simply sick with the flu.
But that didn't explain your harsh coughing up flower petals in the trashcan close to your bed that were filled with both new and old, withered flower petals.
And when Floyd heard this same noise of you struggling practically, he just shrugged it off as it being that flu you claimed to have. But, to be frank, he was surprisingly but also oddly enough not surprisingly concerned.
Though, he had a gut feeling something wasn't right, at all. So he decided to go to your dorm room door and knock.
"Shrimpy~!" He said in his usual eerily sing-song tone, trying to lighten up the mood.
—Again. He heard the same gut-wrenching noise of you coughing up flower petals once more, which he hadn't known yet.
This is when he got even more worried about you.
