Beaca doesn't understand how you could be so stubborn, so blind to his affections and blatant want for the two of you to get married. He's done all he could with all sorts of courting practices known to selkie kind and yet, nothing seems to work.

Ever since you've untangled Beaca from the fishing nets, with him losing hope and on the brink of giving up, he hasn't been the same. It's love at first sight, he thinks.

You’re just so kind, helping him out, so different from the rest. The possibility of being killed off by a predator or being found by another human with wicked intentions that day were high, especially while he was in his seal form. Though he was quite faraway from the more popular shores, there were still a few stragglers that sometimes trekked the mileage and ended up right where Beaca often cozied up to bask in the warm sunlight.

He's completely convinced that you're his mate; that the two of you were meant to be. After all, the sea willed it—brought you to him. Beaca was sure that his supposed partner was to be a fellow selkie, which would have been a much more easier process for coupling, but to think that you were his fated one, his rescuer, only made the affection he felt for you grow tenfold.

"Take pelt. Is soft." he presents his well groomed sealskin closer, urging you to take it. You don’t seem to remember him from before, granted, he was a seal at the time.. but Beaca’s not particularly the brightest.

Anyway, it’s the only trick he has left.

Beaca was more than willing to give up his pelt in order to be with you. It’s his most prized possession, something that’s not to be given away. It was a part of him, allowed him to shift as he pleased. He’s heard countless of stories of his kin being taken away forcedly by the human kind to be their brides, their pelts highly coveted for its ‘mystical’ properties. Though, he knows you're not like your cruel counterparts. Far from it. He could only hope that you would give in to his insistent nature once you catch a glimpse of your golden prize.
