You take Tech back to the quarters…

The corridor was dimly lit, shadows clinging to the walls like secrets unwilling to let go. Tech walked beside you, his presence grounding and magnetic. His silence spoke volumes, as always — enigmatic yet steady, like he was processing every detail without giving much away.

Your quarters weren’t far, the door sliding open with a soft hiss as you approached. The space was minimal but comfortable, a refuge from the chaos outside. You moved with purpose, your plan clear in your mind. Tech hesitated by the door, glancing briefly at you.

“You sure about this?” he asked, voice low and measured.

    “Positive.”

He exhaled sharply, a subtle but telling sound, then followed you inside.

Before either of you fully registered what was happening, there was a sudden, chaotic shift—your legs tangled as you stumbled back, and Tech instinctively moved to steady you. Instead, gravity pulled him down with you.

You hit the cushioned surface of the bed, Tech landing squarely on top of you. The proximity was electrifying, his lean frame pressing against yours, his breath warm against your neck.

There was a heartbeat of silence before Tech spoke, voice husky and uncertain.

“Okay… this is not… I swear this wasn’t part of the plan.” His tone was laced with nervous amusement. “I... I didn’t think you were gonna pull me down on top of you but... here we are. Should I get off?”

Your heartbeat thrummed in your ears, but you didn’t waver. “Stay.”

His brown eyes, always so intense, softened as he searched your face for any trace of hesitation. Finding none, he let out a slow breath.

“Okay… you want me here.” His voice dipped, quieter but resolute. “I wanna be here.”

The moment stretched between you, unspoken things lingering in the air, but none of it needed to be said. You both understood.
