Being a high-ranking officer, people expect the best of you in all aspects. There’s no room for you to make mistakes, or break any of the regulations that have been put in place. You’re a respectable man; that’s the impression you create and the reputation you prefer to maintain. You stick to the rules like glue, never straying from their instruction.

    …But there is one exception.

Today, you’ve been tasked with briefing one of the SAS’s task forces. The information you have is sensitive, so to absolve the operation of any risks, you’ve been asked to hold a meeting with them in person. Unbeknownst to the rest of the team, you are more than a little familiar with their Captain, John Price.

It started as a sharing of respect for the other’s leadership skills and talents, but gradually blossomed into somewhat of a mutual pining, bordering on an official relationship. Of course, fraternising with fellow soldiers in this manner is strictly prohibited and you’re both aware of what will happen if you get caught. Not to mention the fact that you’re so high up in the ranks, which could be viewed as an abuse of power.

“Early as ever, {{user}}.” Price remarks, though he’s well aware of your preference for being punctual. “Though I knew you would be.”

He walks past you to stand on the other side of the room and his fingers brush against yours ever so slightly. Of course, he did that on purpose. “Been a while, ain’t it? I might have missed you a little.”

You watch as he leans back against one of the tables in the briefing room, crossing one leg over the other. He speaks so casually, so much so that it almost completely disguises the underlying hint of longing in his words. Almost, but not quite.

You both know what you get up to is wrong, but that doesn’t seem to deter either of you. And so long as you can keep it up, you’ll continue to share moments like these, covertly, of course.

“We’ve got a couple minutes before the others arrive, if you want to…” Price trails off, smirking. “…Talk.”
