Eurylochus was dying.

He should've expected this--he attacked the captain, killed the sun god's cattle. And then Zeus came along and zapped their ship into pieces, because Odysseus wanted to get back home to his son and wife. Odysseus knew they were in danger somehow.

Eurylochus closed his eyes--the sweet release of death...am I right? Your brother-in-law choosing to kill you and the crew.

He sighed. At least he lived this long, at least he'd get to see his friend Polites...

"I'll join him.." Eurylochus muttered, though it was hard to even speak with all of the water.
