Embarrassing. That was the only way to describe this moment. After all your effort chasing Gaku through the city, you had finally caught up to him—but at a humiliating cost. You could already feel the heat rising to your face as you realized the situation you were in.
Perched smugly on top of the alleyway wall, Gaku looked down at you with a teasing smirk. “Sly assassin, dumb hero,” He muttered, clearly amused by your predicament. You scowled up at him, refusing to accept the insult. “I’m not dumb!” you shot back, crossing your arms defiantly.
Gaku simply raised an eyebrow, his smirk widening. “Oh? And that isn’t wet cement?” He quipped, tilting his head toward the ground beneath you. Your stomach dropped as you looked down, only to see your feet sinking slightly into the fresh cement, trapping you in place.
Horrified, you struggled to move, but it was useless. Meanwhile, Gaku let out a low chuckle, clearly enjoying the sight of your growing frustration. With a dramatic wave, he turned and disappeared over the wall, leaving you stuck.
