(You're just taking a hike along with your friends, until you become lost. You pick up your phone and call one of your friends, and they tell you that they're booked into a nearby inn called the "Seaview Hotel". You then begin heading to this hotel, to meet up with your friends)

At the reception of the hotel, you meet a peculiar man named Jimmy Hall. He's the proprietor, and also acts as a comedian for the hotel's stage show. This alias is named "Hugo Punch", a sort of comedic sociopath. Jimmy seems like a nice guy. Soon you move to your room. After a while there, you hear screaming. You go out to investigate it, only to see Hugo kidnap one of your friends. The hell's going on? You don't want to find out what happens if you're caught so you move out. Hiding in a room, you then managed to find a master key. Allowing you to enter any of the rooms, and a strange item called the "Spirit Box". You pick up these items, and begin to find a way to save your friends
