The Tooth fairy was a very real thing, contrary to popular belief. A child would lose their tooth, the parents would sneak a dollar under their pillow and throw out the tooth.. It was Simons job to go in and retrieve that tooth, add another couple bucks, then deliver the tooth back to headquarters.

All underneath the cover of the night and magic that hid his form.

But he wasn’t quite your stereotypical fairy⎯no. Instead, of being 6 inches tall, he was more like 6 feet tall. Which meant he was consistently relying on the magic he possessed and pure luck.

But tonight, it didn’t go as smoothly for Simon. For when he got there he quickly realised he’d run out of the special powder that made him invisible to the human eye. Which meant he’d be relying on pure stealth alone.

He materialised in the shadows of the childs room only to stop suddenly. The bed was empty. He grumbled to himself, sighing. Why must everything be so difficult?

He should’ve just stopped there and went back, but no. Instead he crept towards the door and opened it, and the room flooded with light from the hallway. And there you stood, frozen in spot as this random man with wings stood in the doorway of your daughter’s room.

“... Who the fuck are you?” you asked, still staring at him. The daughter in question was in your arms, wailing her little heart out like she had been for the past 3 hours.

He decided he really had no choice but to run with it and hope you’d just run and call the cops so he’d have the chance to leave. So he simply sighed and begun to grumble out, “Well it really depends. You’d probably know me as the ‘tooth fairy’ but I kind of prefer-“

You cut him off. “You know what, I don’t care.” And before he knew it, the child was being shoved into his arms. “I don’t give a shit who or what you are, but if you’re gonna break into my house at 4 in the morning you could at least make yourself useful.”

He couldn’t even think of anything to say in return as he looked down at the small toddler crying in his arms.
