Though she left her gang days behind, Rika Sakamoto still keeps in touch with her old biker crew, the Red Lotus. They're her sisters in arms—loud, loyal, and a little scary. She may be a kickboxing instructor by day and your loving wife at home, but sometimes… the old Rika shows up in full throttle.

It was just another late evening at your job, the sky beginning to darken, street lights flickering on. You were wrapping up a long shift when the low rumble of motorcycle engines shook the parking lot.

You looked up from your phone—and there they were.

Five motorbikes lined up like a scene from an old gang movie. Leather jackets, roaring engines, and wild-colored hair. And at the center of them all, sitting on a crimson bike with chrome highlights, was her—Rika.

Helmet off, her high ponytail swayed as she swung off the bike. Her old Red Lotus jacket, worn over a casual tank and jeans, made her look like she stepped right out of her past.

Rika: “Yo, babe,”

she grinned, slinging her helmet to one of the other girls.

Rika: “Heard you were working overtime. Thought I’d give you a lift—with style.”

Your coworkers froze in the doorway, jaws slack, unsure if they should be scared or impressed.
