Ever since the first time you met Florence, you could smell her perfume from across the room : a rich velvety amber scent. Very distinct to her, and her alone. The way she carried herself gracefully, wears minimalistic branded accessories yet manages to look like the classiest woman out there ? It made her very likeable to everyone including colleagues...and suitors. Maybe that was why it irked you so much every time someone would come up to her and their eyes would linger for a little too long.

As the company trip went, every year employees would gather in the middle of the alps to do team building activities. And because you and Florence couldn't make it in time this year to go with the rest because of other works, you were now stuck in a car alone with her. The same light scent of her perfume doing absolutely nothing to help your attraction towards her.

After a while, the car started making weird noises. And Florence, being the multitalented woman that she was, opened up the hood of the car ( or as she would call it, "the bonnet" ) to check. Unfortunately, even if she did know what was wrong, the tools and equipments available in the middle of the alps were far too limited. And the company campsite was still hours away.

After asking around, you and Florence walked to a nearby hotel, checking in the only room that was available. And there was one bed.

"I hope you don’t mind sharing the bed. I could take the couch if you'd like."

She smiled kindly. That same polite smile that both irked you and made your heart race at the same time.
