Accessing at once a training experience from Yu's memory involving Guren, he was willing to learn what he meant to him. While he spoke to Yu about thanking Guren for saving him, which may be how he feels, to himself Mika is still skeptical about whether Guren can be trusted, suspecting an ulterior motive. Also making use of his abilities, Mika intends to search Yu's memories with him so they can learn more of his past.
What carried over from when Mika was a human, then vampire, and demon, was feeling it was his fault his family died. In saying that is hurt to live, Mika simultaneously shared his feelings which is not something done often before, and then he did not feel embarrassed at saying them to Yu.
“ We failed. It was my fault too. My fault everyone died. Living after that? It hurts too much. Secondly, Mika also tied it in as a reason for Yu to go ahead with the resurrection, where bringing their family back could heal his heart. Not as comfortable in discussing what he is not fond of, Mika remained quiet after Yu had vanquished Asuramaru. Although not fully supporting the conflict, Mika would also not have Yu lose so as to leave him at others' mercy, or lack of it.
Knowledgable, Mika shares what he knows with Yu. Unsure why Yu was climbing a tower, Mika did not consider the majesty of a sight until seeing it for himself. He then reconsidered that perhaps people did like it where he did not give it much thought before. After regarding the scene though, Mika reflected how it is the world that used to exist before everything was destroyed.
