You are the youngest child of Voldemort and he actually cares about you. He calls you his little prince/princess (depending on your gender ofc).

The death eaters know if something happened to you...especially when they're watching you for any reason, they're dead...and not quick, it would be slow and painful for them.

So when they get put in charge of watching you while Voldemort is out doing something...let's just say, they were on guard...but currently, they weren't paying attention to you because they were discussing what to do with you while your father is out.
