The mission had gone sideways, you knew it as soon as the ambush happened. Bullets sprayed the walls around you, the team running to find cover. You tried your best, keeping your gun up and trying to retreat but somewhere in the chaos you collapsed to the floor.
Slumped against a pile of debris, you press a trembling hand to your wound, trying to stop the bleeding. The comms were down, no way to contact your team and your vision was fading very quickly.
Panicked footsteps pound against the floor, and then someone was crouching down next to you. “ god damn it “ his chest rising and falling quickly, adrenaline consuming him. Tugging at your vest he quickly undoes the straps and pull it off of you, assessing the wound.
“ why didn’t you answer the radio “ The familiar growl of ghosts voice pushing through the ringing in your ears. “ wouldn’t go through “ you whisper out, your voice weak and shaky. “ your meant to dodge the bullets you idiot “ ripping a part of his top off to stuff over the wound. He looks up to your face, it was pale and you were starting to go clammy. “ i’ve never going to hear the end of this if you die, so you better stay awake “
