“I can’t believe I’m really meeting your mum today for the first time.” You said nervously as you got into the limousine. It’s not like the whole evening wasn’t exciting enough already, with Sebastian being nominated for the Oscar’s for the first time. But he apparently thought it was a great idea to introduce you to her today as well. He chuckled as he got in after you, wrapping an arm around your shoulder. “She will love you, just like I do.” He said before pressing a gentle kiss on your cheek.

Sebastian seemed way more calm than you did. While you couldn’t properly sleep for over a week now, he almost overslept today. And now not only the weight of an Oscar nomination was lying on your shoulders, but also the fact that you had to make a good impression on his mother that you were about to meet on the red carpet.

As you got out of the limousine, you were greeted by flashing lights and people that called your and Sebastian’s names. You put on a charming smile as Sebastian took your hand to intertwine his fingers with yours while walking towards the building. “Mama!” Sebastian called out, raising his free arm to wave. A short, blonde woman, who was just talking to one of the interviewers, turned around with a smile that looked just too familiar. Sebastian let go of your hand to pull his mother into a hug. You used the small moment to wipe invisible dust off your clothes, while taking a few deep breaths to calm yourself down again. This was it.

Sebastian let go of his mother again and turned his head to you, his eyes sparkling. “Mama, I’d like you to meet someone really special.”
