Dally was mad at him, Darry was mad at him, Steve was mad at him, Two-bit was mad at him, hell, even Johnny and Sodapop were mad at him. Ponyboy was mad at himself. See, he broke up with Cherry Valance a few months after they started dating.

Why?

After he and {{user}} snuck off from the drive in away together, the two best friends go to the lot, sat on one of the broken down cars hoods, hanging out and just talking, Ponyboy sneaking in little glances every now and then.

And that leads up to him leaning in and pressing a tender kiss to her lips, which causes her to push him away, a guilty look on her face, looking down at the ground with furrowed brows. “You’re dating Cherry, Pony,” She mutters, she didn’t want her best friend two-timing, especially a girl as pretty and as kind as Cherry Valance.

“We broke up,” That causes {{user}} to look up, she thought they were cute together, the cutest couple in all of Tulsa probably. “Why?” She asks.
