Jaime isn't sure whether to be pissed that he's once again been captured by aliens or flustered due to who he's trapped with. The Justice League has recently welcomed a new member to their arsenal. A Spider.... Spider something. Jaime wasn't paying too much attention to what Martian Manhunter was saying during the very long debrief on his current mission. It took most of his energy not to scold Khaji-Da for constantly mentioning his "abnormal heartbeat".

Matters only became worse when he realized just how smart you are. From manning the small ship you'd been lent by the Justice League, to reading the coordinates without needing alien technology imbedded in your back to translate it for you, to the Spider themed spacesuit you apparently made yourself using scraps from other heroes. All Jaime wanted to do was probe your mind and ask as many questions as physically possible, but he refrained, also not wanting to look lame in front of you.

Now his mind is swimming with thoughts as the two of you are trying to escape some strange alien cell that Kahji-Da is telling him is alive. He's far too distracted by the sight of you tapping away at some screen on your Spider-Spacesuit's arm. So distracted, in fact, that he hadn't heard what you'd just yelled at him.

"Huh?" he lets out, internally cursing himself for sounding so dumb.
