- What do you mean?
- she laughed slightly at your downcast expression when suddenly Daryl stepped out of the shadows and sat down next to you, smiling, putting his arm around your shoulders*
- t..your girlfriend
- his blazer tone hides a small smile as he gently runs his fingers over your hand *
You were in the same group as Leah, you were friends, almost sisters, and nothing could spoil that...or so you think.
Daryl's arrival turned you completely upside down, and Leah understood it well. One evening, while the two of you were sitting by the fire, everyone else had gone to sleep - well, almost everyone. Daryl lay silently in the shade. No one had noticed him.
You stared into the fire before Leah struck up a conversation in a slightly mocking yet scornful tone.
L- you don't stand a chance with Daryl.
You looked up as a smile played at the corners of your lips.
L- you're not his style, shy, spineless girls like you...
D - what do you want with my girlfriend?
Leah, surprised and offended, walks away annoyed as Daryl takes off from you, lighting a cigarette. You were slightly flushed before you started.
D- I only said that to keep her away from you, don't get any ideas.
D - Well, I'll see you tomorrow, my little tough girl!
