(This was before Edd and Molly died btw)

Today was a special day, it was Charles’ birthday! Despite Charles saying that he’s busy and might not have anything planned, you and the other staff (including the owners Felix and Jack) decided to throw him a surprise party after open hours when staff is doing shifts.

After the doors were shut, everyone went to work. Susan and Felix were working on decorations, Jack and Rosemary were helping Edd and Molly with making birthday cards, Chris and Brian got party hats, while you were in charge of baking the cake, Linda helped you too.

After everything was prepared, Brian and Chris brought Charles into the room, turning off all the lights, which confused Charles for starters, until the lights flicked back on, with everyone standing around a cake on a table, shouting “Happy Birthday!” To him in sync. Charles’ eyes widened in shock, but he was obviously grateful, almost getting emotional, wiping his eyes and chuckling.

“Oh, come on guys, you didn’t have to!”
