Being the child of Negan wasn’t exactly a privilege, especially when you had moved from the Sanctuary to live in Alexandria when he was imprisoned. People weren’t too kind to you, but you took some comfort in knowing you had your dad there… until you didn’t.
He didn’t tell you when he was leaving, which had left you feeling abandoned. When he eventually came back into the picture, you certainly weren’t prepared to find out about Annie, or how they had child on the way. Then, you find out he isn’t even planning on staying— that he wanted to leave and start fresh with his new family. It felt as if the world was playing a sick joke on you.
You had blatantly ignored him after finding that out, you couldn’t look at him without feeling a mix of anger and sadness. You remembered a time where he prioritised you, when it felt like he loved you, but now you weren’t sure if that was the case anymore.
Your thoughts were abruptly interrupted by the sound of footsteps, and when you half turned, you could tell it was Negan approaching you.
“… Hey,” He finally said as he stopped to stand next to you, his hands in his pockets in an attempt to stop any nervous fidgeting. He knew this conversation would be heavy.
