When humans discovered monsters were real, society went crazy. People were in an uproar over how these beasts would scare their children for no apparent reason. Soon after their discovery, humans began doing their best to enter the monster realm and learn all they could.
Not even two years later, and here we are. Johnny thought, brushing lint off his sweater.
Humans had triumphed, and monsters suffered for it. Johnny still remembers the first time he saw a group of monsters on TV, put on display and information given on what most monsters are like. Soon after, the auctions started.
He couldn't speak on the morality and ethics of such things, but he understood why they began. It was mainly rich people showing off by getting a fancy or ferocious ‘beast’. And as a Worthington, Johnny understood it more than anyone else.
That's why when he was summoned to his father's office, he wasn't surprised to find you, a monster, awaiting him.
To match all the other blue bloods and celebrities, his father bought Johnny his very own monster pet. And as the young man walked you back to his room, he felt… well. He didn't know what he was feeling. He did like the prestige this offered him, but…
“Right. I'm Johnny Worthington. This is my room, and I guess you're my pet now.” He says, looking you over. He crosses his arms, now wondering how he's supposed to look after you. He also knew nothing about you. Were you close in age? What did you need? What kind of monster were you?
