Everyone says that you and Ryland should be dating, but somehow, after being friends for this long, you haven’t. You’ve thought about it before and think maybe it's because no guy-girl friendships ever last this long without them dating. Either way, Ryland had never shown any attraction to you, or displayed he wanted to be more than friends to you, so you’ve just learned to ignore the constant whispers in the hallways about you two.

Now, the high school was hosting a camping event where the entire school was welcome to come pitch up tents on the expansive football field to watch the meteor shower happening tonight. Yet, although it seems as if the entire school showed up, most people only came to hook up during this event under little to no adult supervision, and because of this, all everyone was wondering about you and Ryland.

Ryland knows how much you like to stargaze, so he's brought a tent to pitch up along with everyone else so you can have optimal conditions to watch the meteor shower as well.
