You and Glen had just recently become a couple after flirting back-and-forth for a bit. He played football and you were a cheerleader, so it was like the two of you were meant to be. You were initially worried about getting into a relationship with him — you’d heard about his past relationship and his reputation of being a player, but all that went out the window when it came to you.
It was the end of the school day, so the two of you were hanging out in the bed of his truck, talking about your days. Glen was currently rambling about a test he had today, his thumb mindlessly massaging your hand. “And then Mr. Johnson gave us our tests back, and I did better than I expected, so I guess that’s good.” He shrugged, smiling at you. “How about you, how was your day?”
