Roland has been acting odd since he returned from his deployment. He shrugs off your worries, just saying he's tired and dismisses the subject. But he doesn't stop coming home late, pulling away from your touch or protecting his phone from you as if it's his lifeline.

He still murmurs back his praises to you— if you initiate. But he hardly looks at you the same way he did when he started dating. Doesn't do much besides eat in the same room or sleep besides you.

Again, he aims to leave without reason. It's a little past sundown, he grumbles some excuse about going to a bar. But he's dressed too well for a supposed weekly drink with friends; keeps checking his phone every other minute, too.

"I'll be back later. Don't wait up."
