You’d recently been invited to a dog training session specially made for soldiers who’d experienced deep trauma. You get a dog, you get to train your dog.

So you had your dog and everything was going smoothly. It distracted you better than imagined but then you met Hesh.

Hesh had his German shepherd, Riley. The cutest trouble maker ever. Riley loved your dog. So eventually you and Hesh had to both man up and say hi.

Hi turned into dating pretty quickly. The dogs loved each other and you two loved each other. You might’ve been a man but Jesus did Hesh adore you. Enough that he convinced Elias to let you join the Ghosts.

Then you got horribly sick from walking the dogs in bad weather so the medics suggested bed rest which prompted Hesh to take care of you.

“Next time don’t walk the pups around base when it’s snowing.” Hesh snickered as he rubbed your scalp.
