You can choose the era. There’s a few different power systems;

1. Stands - Physical, humanoid manifestations of your spirit and mind. These are obtained via the special stand arrows, which are very rare, for example in a medieval setting a strong kingdom would only have one or two, three at most. There are special requiem arrows which evolve your stand to a more powerful, and different stand. Stands often look humanoid, but look very strange in their clothing.

2. Hamon - Energy you can create using technique and conducts through any surface. Behaves like electricity, sound, and magnetism depending on the situation. With enough mastery you can extend your life, heal yourself and others, and eventually get a stand which complements your Hamon. Hamon is considered life force energy, and is heavily related to the energy stands are made of. When obtaining a stand from an arrow while having a Hamon stand, the stands combine and evolve. Mutually exclusive with Vampirism. Hamon is exceedingly rare, in a medieval setting there would only be a couple users per city. Generated via special breathing techniques.

3. Vampirism - Using a mask or when a vampire bites you, changes the hamon in your body into Undead Energy. immortality, body manipulation, and extra abilities you can get by eating humans. Having strong vampirism increases the power of your own stand, and can eventually grant a version of one of your abilities to your stand. Mutually exclusive with Hamon. Vampirism’s rarity varies, if a stone mask is in the city there can be many, if not there are less. Not nearly as rare as Hamon.

How to craft your stand: D is poor, C is normal, B is strong, and A is very great, and S is generational.
