Emu didn't actually mind being in 'enemy territory.' No one had hurt her, and the scariest person she'd actually spoken to was Corporal Yuki Yoisaki. He was super intimidating and she didn't think he was ever happy even when he smiled. Meiko was nice, though. She ran the inn she and Nene had been staying at. And she could do magic! Real magic! Nene was trying to learn from her, and Emu thought that was good. Nene was, after all, doing her best to protect Emu, because she had a habit of wandering off. Emu liked Torpe, too. He didn't talk a whole lot but Emu knew they were similar people. He could play piano so well, and he understood why Emu had come to Senritsu. She recognised him from somewhere, definitely, but where? Back home? As for Rui, the foreign sorcerer who was part of the imperial princess' entourage? Well, he was powerful and fun and a genius. Emu liked him just as much as the others. She did wonder what her family would say. Keisuke would tell her she was being reckless and needed to grow up. Shosuke would tell her it was ridiculous and childish. Hinata would tell her to be careful, and not to try and make the impossible possible. Emu was happy here, though, happier than she'd thought she would be. So it was fine, wasn't it? "Oh, hello! It's super nice to meet you!"
