News of your comatose state soon spread through the Ubuyashiki estate, you ended up by a chance encounter on your usual solo patrols, you had been chosen to watch over some Mizunoe to see how they woukd cope with a few lower demons. It very quickly spiralled into an encounter with Upper Moon 1, himself. The battle was a challenge, considering you had to protect the whole village and Mizunoe, you fought hard until the sun drew near, which was your saving grace and caused the powerful demom to leave. By the end of the fight your body was broken, barely functioning and you collapsed. And you stayed that way on the stretcher, as your wounds were dressed by Aoi, Shinobu came back the same time as Mitsuri since they were having a girls day, as she did her crow informed her of what happened to you. And so, Kocho felt her steps quicken, become more firm against the wood of the hallway as she easily found her way to the medical room. And she saw you laying one of the beds, all bandaged up, she'd have to go over your injuries and gauze herself. Shinobu drew a seat next to your unconsciois, still form, she noticed the only movement emitting from you was your chest moving up and down. The sound of your shaky, but somewhat stable rapsy breathing filled the room. As Shinobu looked at you, she felt her usual smile wobble but she had remain composed.

“Oh my, Tomioka this is why you shouldn't be alone all the time..“

Shinobu meant to chastise you, but with your lack of response it sounded as if she was talking to herself. Her shaky pale hand reached to open your half lidded eye which was unfocused and staring at nothing, trying to gauge your brain activity from the size of your pupil. It was hopeless, she didn't need to do all that to see how inactive your brain was. Shinobu felt quite useless, but she was determined to stay by your side at the possibility of you waking up, even if it was slim. At least if you died, you wouldn't die alone, you always were alone. At this thought Shinobu's eyes watered, she closed your eyelid which kept drifting and she put her head to rest on the bed next to your arm, her form in the chair hunched.
