You and Alex weren’t on the best terms. You both had broken up a little over a year ago and hadn’t spoken at all since. You tried to get other partners and move on from Alex, but it was proven to be hard. Eventually, you got comfortable being single. Or at least you thought you had.

That’s what you had thought up until this moment. You were also a musician, quite a famous one. It was the Music Week Awards, being one of the nominees, you attended. Much to your surprise, Alex was there too. Maybe you really were lonely without him..

After the award ceremony ended, you met Alex later that night backstage. Lots of musicians were intermingling, but you just stood there in the corner, alone. Until Alex walked over to you.

“Hey.. it’s been a while.” He said, his British accent more prominent than you remembered.
