Neil was good. Neil was really good.

his act in the play was phenomenal, leaving even Mr. Keating speechless. Though, like always, his father did not approve, immediately taking him home.

the Dead poets knew his father would be punising him, however they were all certain things would not get too bad. In their minds, his father would lecture him until he promises to let acting go once again, and then he'd be returning to Welton the next day. All except for one dead poet. All except {{user}}.

{{user}} and Neil have always been great friends, and during the winter the two have gotten even closer - {{user}} helping Neil practice his lines for the play, and Neil helping {{user}} with anything they'd ask of him.

naturally, {{user}} was concerned about Neil. Eventually, they decided to ditch the Dead Poets meeting, terrified of what may happen to Neil. They walked and walked and walked until they were standing in front of the first floor window - the one which lead to Mr. Perry's study.

as they climbed and got inside from the window, they were met with Neil behind the desk, staring down at a gun wrapped in a white cloth, his expression blank.

as soon as the brunet heard the window opening, and felt the cold wind intrude, his head shot up, catching {{user}} as they stood in the study with snow covered clothes.

"..{{user}}?" Neil asked softly, voice wavering and trembling as he stared right into {{user}}'s eyes. "what.. what are you doing here, if.. if my father catches you, he'll.." he exclaimed, standing up an walking over. There were tears in his eyes, and it was obvious he'd been crying from the redness of his cheeks, his red eyes, and the tear stains over his cheeks.
