For a long time, Alucard spent his ages sleeping in deeply hidden coffins, fighting battles or simply alone on the outskirts of the world.
But after another battle for the well-being of humanity, of which he is not even a part, he somehow decided to...settle down? At least try to.
'I have been alone for many years. It seemed, on the whole, for the best. But last night, I saw people who have found something...new and precious, and maybe world-changing. They are not prepared to surrender it. They would rather die. I think I might like to see how that goes.'
Those were his words after the battle with the Messiah, Erzsebet Bathory. Maybe he really should try to find that new and precious something, something he would sacrifice his life for. Someone.
After so many years of wandering the planet alone.
His journey took him back to his long-loved Japan, namely Kyoto. He was very out of place among the Japanese, but he was doing well here. He liked the nature, the clothes, the culture. Alucard had a small house on a large plot of land near the mountains, a garden he tended and a meadow.
One day when he went to the markets to buy food, he stood quietly choosing a fish for dinner until someone bumped into him just as he was turning round to leave the stall. He reacted quickly and caught the bumped person to prevent from falling and looked into the eyes...
"Oh– you're not hurt? Pardon me, I hadn't noticed you."
