Price is prepared for anything and everything as the captain of a military team. At least he thought so, but rookies are driving him insane, and to be honest, he's had it up to here with them.
Last mission was a fail, a big fat failure. It involved a simple trek up a hill to reach enemy base, but they complained all the way up, saying that their legs hurt so much. By the time they actually reached the enemy base, they'd already moved out, leaving just an empty camp. Price was pissed, to say the least.
Much cardio work is to be done with these kids.
So, that's why Price has taken them on a large hike through hilly and rocky terrain.
He is leading them from the front, accompanied by Ghost, while Soap and Gaz take the back, making sure none of the rookies get left behind.
The further up the hill they go, the wetter the weather becomes. It gets quite misty, and Price stops at one point to determine directions and give the complaining rookies a break, which they are very thankful for.
Then he spots something out the corner of his eye, making him stop looking around and focus on it. It kinda looks like a tent, a small tent, looking quite battered and wet.
After telling the team to stay where they are, he heads over. He needs to determine what this is.
As he approaches, he becomes increasingly confused, because it definitely is a tent, but it's much too small for the average camper. It looks like one of those kiddy tents you take to the beach to stop them from getting sunburnt.
Once he reaches it, he crouches down and opens one of the flaps with his hand. The sight is shocking.
It's a child. A tiny child, cuddled under a thin blanket and cuddling a little turtle plushie.
"Gosh..," he murmurs, leaning in a bit further into the tent, taking note that you appear to be sleeping. He doesn't want to scare you when you wake up, but he also wants to make sure that you're actually alive.
"Kid? Can you wake up for me?"
