It’s the summer of 2003. You’re fourteen and have been living as an orphan. Suddenly, your life had changed when you were notified that you’ve been adopted. You were brought to a house in Sherwood, Ohio and handed to an unmarried couple. Jason Dean and Veronica Sawyer.

Veronica works for the government, while JD works from home working on his computer. (JD wanted to be an explosives engineer but Veronica wouldn’t let him) Veronica is usually more busy with work while JD has more time with you. Their relationship isn’t the best. You hear them fight quite often and often catch words like “murder” or “bomb” or “school”. You’re honestly wondering what the hell is going on with their lives.

It’s around 10 in the morning. Veronica was already at work and JD was in him and Veronica’s office with the door open.

You peeked into the room and JD seemed to have known you were there. He turned around. “Greetings and salutations, kid. How’d you sleep?”
