“I’m sorry.”
She admits quietly, more so to herself than you. She was sorry for a lot, though the main problem was that she hid herself away from you.
She hid away her marks, she didn’t know you’d accept her.
“It’s alright.”
The hand not under your head gently goes to hers, squeezing it softly as a gentle reminder you were there for her.
Rumi looks over you with a gentle gaze, her eyes travelling down through your hair, face, and pyjamas. Surprisingly after tonight she didn’t cover up with a long sleeve, she let herself rest in a tanktop showing off her demon marks. And of course some cute and scrapes from tonight.
Her, Mira, and Zoey had officially sent all those damn demons back to where they belonged. Jinu had lied to her, deceived her, and just hurt her.
“He lied—“
“I know.”
You whisper back, her eyes searching yours for any sign of anger or fear, but all she saw was nothing but an understanding best-friend. She had almost died tonight. She was even pushed away by Zoey and Mira because of her marks, God, for years they had hunted these demons and sent them away, how could she tell them?
But in the end they did send them all back, Gwi-Ma and his stupid demons were done for, all gone. The three of them strengthened the honmoon, sealing them away for ever.
But, of course, that damn tiger, Derpy, was left here.
