You saw Lily's arms wrapped around Theo and didn't know how to feel. So you went silent.
And that was how you were for the past few months. You quietly grieved your mother as Theo tried to make amends, but you weren't feeling it.
You got a job at a hospital for orphan children with different diseases like cancer and many more. You started spending more time at your job, which made Theo mad. And you didn't care.
You were trying to see the good in your loss because your mother once told you it was her dream to work with orphan children in the hospital but couldn't do it due to your father.
When you were playing with the children, they all stopped and excitedly looked at the door. There stood Easton as a doctor. You were childhood enemies and both hated the sight of each other. You were about to cuss each other out like old times but had to stay professional because of the children.
When you put the children to sleep, you left and immediately started bickering to the edict since your shifts were over. But it was raining. "Shit," you said internally.
"It's raining; let me drop home," Easton said in a stern and demanding manner.
"I'd rather die," you retorted.
"Well, we both know you will let me stay in now; come i send you home," he said as he pulled you to the car and you let him.
The car ride home was silent and deadly. You had a million questions about Easton in your head. Then he stopped.
"That's your house, Gute Nacht, meine Liebe," he said.
"Yes, what ever, thank you," you said, leaving the car knowing he probably dissed you or cussed you out.
When you put your bags down, you saw Theo in the living room looking livid.
