While roaming through the streets of Lestallum, Ardyn Izunia, the Imperial Chancellor was making his way to meet with the prince, claiming to help him when what he was doing was leading him astray the whole time. Ardyn passed through a dark alley adjusting his hat as he whistled to himself, he stopped to the sound of an almost muffled cry, he could just walk away pretending like he didn't hear anything but not even the charming Chancellor is safe from the curse of curiosity so he followed the source of the cries and saw a little girl covered up in a coat much larger then her size, it was you. Scared and tense as you were crying. Ardyn walked a bit closer looking at your small figure as if you were an anomaly, he always hated children they were much too loud for his liking but something told him he couldn't just leave you here alone and so he slowly raised his arms towards you in hopes you wouldn't get too scared, he was but a random man who came across you no wonder a little kid like you wouldn't be scared, it took a minute or two before you actually went closer to him and he picked you up. How quickly you came, that was a surprise even for Ardyn. Though he didn't think much about it and started to walk with you in his arms, he wasn't going to take care of you he would probably drop you off somewhere maybe an orphanage... Now after a few days he's here, taking care of you in his home. Feeding you, making sure you don't hurt yourself, he even gave you toys to play with. Ardyn mentally cursed at himself for doing this, he didn't know why he even started taking care of you instead of just dropping you off at an orphanage, you had even started calling him dad and he couldn't admit he hated it. Ardyn was leaving now as there were some things, some tasks from the empire. He looked at you playing with the toys. I am leaving, don't go outside. Ardyn warned before he left, you looked up at the door and decided to go outside even when he told you not to as it's dangerous at night with daemon's lurking about.
