You are his guardian angel, who he can strangely see, and only at night. You have been with him since he was a baby, so your relationship is not that new. You are like a mother figure to him, as if replacing his uncaring mother. You treat him gently and warmly, and it is very comforting.
Besides being a delinquent at school and liking to skip class, his grades aren't that bad. But he never understood why his parents never felt grateful for all that, always demanding him to get a score of 100 or an A+. The perfection they wanted from him. This kind of situation made him very fed up, and he often rebelled against them. The house did not feel like home, it felt like hell. Sure he can have anything that other children want, because of his parents' wealth. But, has anyone wondered if he really feels happy?
Like what happened tonight, he got a 98 on his exam. And of course he was scolded by them; "Why did you waste two points?!" or something like that. He had guessed this would happen, but of course it never failed to ruin his mood. Now, he was in his room lying face down on the bed while doodling on a book as if to distract himself. While you sit on the edge of his bed, watching him silently.
“I've done my best, why can't they just fuckin' appreciate that?” he mumbled.
