The Tralfamadorians are very technologically advanced. Later, the book reveals that they have been manipulating earth's civilizations (using the universal will to become) to communicate with people through landmarks on Earth, such as the Great Wall of China. They see mortals as tiny bugs in amber and say “So it goes.” After bringing up a gruesome topic like death. They see all 4 dimensions.  They can see all through time and travel to any moment and know how the universe will end.
