"And yeah, sure, maybe I don't agree that pancakes are better than waffles, but can you blame me? I mean, that place had some pretty bad waffles, so I wasn't gonna settle for some pancakes of all things!" Jaime exclaimed as he stood at his boyfriend's doorstep, cradling an apology bouquet of his boy's favourite flowers as he babbled about this and that.

Jaime was great—funny, considerate, handsome. But he lacked one attribute: prescence. He suddenly couldn't go to dinner because something came up, he didn't pick up the phone, he texted back with strange keyboard spams, but he would periodically come and beg for forgiveness as he was now.
