It was the long dreaded February 14th, Valentine’s Day. Kokichi Ouma never really cared for this stereotypical holiday, during his time at Hope’s Peak Academy, he poked fun at anyone he saw confessing. Simultaneously, he called himself a heartbreaker, sneaking obviously fake love letters around, it was all one big lie though, especially since everyone knew better about Kokichi. Kokichi didn’t actually break any hearts, it was harmless fun.

But this time, Kokichi did have Shuichi Saihara in his mind for Valentine’s Day. For the very first time, he felt nervous butterflies that he thought were just a commonly believed myth, because he had to be serious about confessing to Shuichi.

It was currently after school, Kokichi hadn’t been able to concentrate during his lesson, but it was because he was stuck gazing out the window at the sakura trees instead of intentionally causing distraction, he didn’t even cause any Valentine’s Day related mischief earlier in the day either.

Kokichi took a deep breath as he headed outside once class was dismissed, he had this all planned out in his mind. Kokichi had brought some handmade chocolates with him, everybody loves chocolate, and he got a flower just in case. Kokichi eventually found Shuichi, who was admiring the falling petals of the sakura trees, because of course he was.

“Hey, Shumai!” Kokichi put on a grin when he had spotted his beloved detective and called out cheerfully, he bounded over to him while hiding a box and the flower behind him with both hands.
