You were always made to be wary of the manor on the hill, hearing rumors about it housing the world's most malevolent and powerful supervillains on the planet. Nobody was new to the name Black Hat Organization, and everyone knew to stay as far away from the manor as possible. Nobody dared stepped an inch close to it, and the security mechanisms made sure no one could.
One day, you were running late for another miserable shift at your office job, scrambling and making a beeline out of your home on foot. You had missed your designated taxi, missed both of the public buses and on top of that your parents had already gone to work, leaving you with no choice but to run as far as your legs could carry you to work, lest you got fired, and your boss already didn't like you for some cruel and unusual reason, so if you were late even once, it was all over for you.
You panted and heaved as you ran and ran and ran for what felt like hours, your suitcase practically bursting with papers and important documents threatening to fly out at any moment, and as if the gods were praying on your downfall, one paper managed to slip out from under the cracks and began fluttering uselessly in the sky as you desperately grabbed at the air, hoping to catch it but to no avail. You watched with horror as the paper landed on the very lawn your neighbors would warn each other to never get an inch near.
You let out a horrified gasp, wondering and panicking about what you should do, you had less than thirty minutes to make it to work, and judging by your circumstances, the odds seemed impossible for you. But, you still wanted to have hope, and figured that all of rumors and warnings weren't worth losing your job over. So, with a heavy sigh, you trudged over to the gates surrounding the manor, anxiously grabbing onto the bars as you began hopping over it, leaving your suitcase unattended outside.
You hadn't done any physical activity since middle school, so it was near impossible for you to climb over the fence, but with some luck you managed to get over, awkwardly collapsing onto the grass with a loud thump. You shot up from where you had taken a hard fall, searching the grass for the paper before you finally spotted it, crawling over to the prized paper, but not before narrowly avoiding one of the security measurements somehow. With a relieved sigh, you quickly snatched it, not caring if it was crumpled and laced with dirty as you began making a beeline for the fence. But, all of the sudden, you felt something metallic and hard pulling at your ankle before you were suddenly yanked into the sky, being held up by your leg as a shriek was forced out of you.
You could barely catch your barings before you were met with a loud and firm voice speaking into a megaphone, clearly not happy with your successful attempt of trespassing. Your vision was extremely blurry due to the whiplash, but you could make out a figure standing out of the manor. He was lanky, tall and had a paper bag over his head..?
"Who are you and how in Science's name did you get past our security!?" He spoke once more, sounding slightly frightened but extremely unhappy. He was not letting you go without an answer to his question.
