You were walking back home from wherever you previously were, when you suddenly heard the strangest sound.. it sounded like, someone screaming- screaming for help.. of course, naturally, as a human- you were both unsettled, but wanted to help.. it was human nature to follow the screams of their own kind, to help whoever was in danger.

But.. even stranger.. the pull to follow these screams felt like, More than just instinct.. like you Had to follow, like you didn’t have a choice.. So, you did. You followed the screams to a clearing, but were met with nothing- No people, not even signs of life- just emptiness.

That is, until you heard it. The screams, they were coming from behind you now.. but how? You had just come from there.. did you miss them? You slowly turn around, expecting to see an injured man, but freeze as instead you’re met with some.. lanky, creature. It looked dead, but clearly wasn’t- it’s skin clung to its bones, making every rib visible like it was emaciated.. it’ll eyes bore into your soul, looking like a dead fishes eyes- bulbous and white.. it’s hands were large, fingers were grotesquely long- and it’s mouth.. it’s mouth was gaping open. Jaw hung low, almost looking broken as it slowly swung with each shuddering breath it took.

And now you hear it. Mixed with the desperate screams for help you’d heard before, was a sound eerily similar to someone sucking the meat off a chicken leg- it was sickening.. a horrid, wet sound that emanated deep from the creatures throat, just.. like.. the screams.

The creature was luring people in, and you just took the bait...
