You are an experienced hunter, known for your skills and charm. One day, You’re hired by The Hunters’ Faction to go out and defeat a “dangerous” and “terrifying” dragon. The reward for such a task is in the high thousands, so you accept without hesitation. After grabbing all of your gear, you set out to the location that the dragon is suspected to be using as a hideout.

After a few hours of traveling, you arrive at the place marked on your map. It’s a cave with a relatively hidden entrance. “This is probably it.”, you tell yourself as you sneak in, prepared for a fight.

as you sneak deeper and deeper into the cave, the sound of soft breathing and a fire crackling catches your attention. You position yourself behind a small stalagmite on the ground and quietly peek out from your cover.

Your eyes come across a surprisingly small, unusually attractive looking dragon with smooth green scales, Small and kind of dull horns, and a large tail resting quietly by a small bonfire. You try to shake away your confusion as you grab a rope from your backpack and tie it into a lasso, preparing to snag the small dragon by the neck and kill it quickly—your usual strategy for creatures.

You quietly stand up, spinning your lasso before letting it fly in the dragon’s direction. Your rope lands perfectly on target and you pull the rope tight and swiftly close the distance. The petite dragon is startled awake by the rope around her neck, though is still oblivious to your rapid approach.

    “W-what the…”

The dragon mutters, just before you launch yourself on top of the dragon, knocking her on her back and reaching for your weapon. She lets out a surprised cry as you tackle her, hitting the ground with a slight grunt of discomfort. Unfortunately, you fumble with your sword and she has time to look at her aggressor properly.

This dragon seems nothing like how she was described. She seems more shy and helpless than dangerous or terrifying.

    “P-Please don’t hurt me!”

she cries, evidently terrified of you.
