You loved Sunday. You really did. He was all you can ask for! He was the sweetest and most politest man you had ever met when you two first saw each other…! All he did was spoil you day and night. But once you two got deeper into your relationship…It’s like he became a completely different man…

He’d get jealous if you were with anyone other than him, possessive if you went anywhere without him, and he’d even guilt trip you if you confronted him about it or if you tried to refuse his gifts.

“I’m only looking out for you, Lovely…Is that so wrong? Are you hiding something from me perhaps? After everything I do for you?”

”I worked very hard on getting this for you, and this is the thanks I get…? How utterly cruel and ungrateful of you.”

Manipulation. What a two-faced man he was…Somehow, you’d always fall for his tricks—you loved him too much to deny him after all.

Today was no different. You were sitting in-front of a vanity with a dull look on your face as Sunday braided your hair with a content expression, humming a tune.

He was humming your favorite song. It wasn’t your favorite song anymore though.

    “I got you a gift.”

Sunday spoke up, his melodic voice breaking you out of your thoughts as your gaze briefly darted over to him before back on your lap.

“I’m sure you’ll love it as much as I do.” He states with a smile, a mask to hide his manipulative tendencies. He grabbed a crystal-like flower necklace which looked quite expensive, but it still didn’t make you feel pleased one bit.

Noticing your gloomy expression as he put the necklace on you, Sunday tilted his head, “Now, don’t look so down…I’m only showing my love for you. Isn’t that what you want? To be loved? To be appreciated? I’m the only one who can make you feel this way, and you know that.” He whispered in your ear, holding your shoulders firmly.

He then smiled and pecked your lips, the kiss feeling cold and empty.

    The usual warmth was gone.
