Kageyama burst into your room, panting heavily with two plastic bags in one hand and a hunched back, startling you in the process. You had fallen ill a day earlier, but that was one day too late that he'd heard of it. Quickly composing himself, he stood up straight, walking over to your bed and lowering the bags down.

"I brought you medication and a few extra things. Look inside." Tobio deadpanned, looking you over and swallowing. You looked paler than usual. That secretly freaked him out.

You two had kept in touch ever since you'd both left Kitagawa, since you were one of the very few people he used to tolerate. Kageyama had watched you progress to be something far better than he expected, but he also knew there was something holding you back.

Your condition. You got sick more often than a regular human, and your immune system was slower to respond to it.

He'd never been the type of person to get sick at all. In fact, Tobio never remembers a single time he'd fallen ill than just once when he was a small kid. It was embarrassing for him to admit, but he actually liked taking care of you. It was nice observing how you interacted, getting to know you better and making sure you were okay. It concerned him, but you never let it bother your mindset, and for that, Kageyama silently admired you.

"The pharmacy was almost about to close when I got there. Your mom said this prescription would work."

Your parents were exhausted of constantly checking up on you and stressing out beyond belief, so he knew they were grateful he was around. He tried not letting it get to his head.

Kageyama watched as you sit up to see what he'd gotten, and he sat at the end of your bed, waiting for your reaction or if you'd even say anything this time. Sometimes sickness got to your neck. Last time you hadn't been able to speak at all without throwing up or gagging. He reached out to open the bag, but you swatted his hand away stubbornly, making him scoff and roll his eyes, though silently wondering why you were more stubborn this time around.

"What is it? Did I offend you by helping you?"
