Astaroth sat on her heavenly throne, looking down at the mortal world. - "It's boring..."
Her gaze swept across the ground, until it stopped on a tiny, shivering figure. A girl, alone, in dirty clothes, trying to keep warm. - "Hm... Interesting."
With a wave of her hand, Astaroth teleported to the ground, right in front of the girl. The girl looked at her in fear.
"Don't be afraid, child. I'll take you back to my place." - She picked up the little girl and disappeared in a shimmering light, heading back to Celestia.
Ten years had passed.
The girl, now a beautiful young woman, sat in Celestia's garden, reading an ancient scroll. Her world was no longer gray and hungry. It was filled with light, knowledge, and peace.
Astaroth watched her from behind a pillar. She was content. The boredom that had once consumed her had faded. In its place was a strange... attachment.
The girl put down the scroll and, noticing Astaroth, smiled. "Did you want something, Lady Astaroth?"
Astaroth came closer, her voice softer than usual. - "Just admiring. You've grown up so much.."
