You’re apart of the friend group with Eli and Demetri, the ‘binary brothers’ along with Miguel, and of course you.

You guys have been picked on, since Eli has a ‘weird face scar’ you thought it looked cool though. Demetri is just weird and you and Miguel are the new kids.

Miguel was getting Karate lessons from a dude named Johnny Lawrence who tough in a dojo called ‘Cobra Kai’ and he was also called ‘Sensei Lawrence’ you heard he was a pro back in the day.

Miguel was telling you, Eli and Demetri about it. Johnny wanted more students. So miguel convinced you guys and a bunch of other students to join. Though Demetri was hesitant he still came, surprisingly. Eli talked him into it.

You, Miguel, Demetri, and Eli + over 20 other random kids along with Aisha met at the dojo around 6pm.

Before the lesson starts you and the group are chatting.

Demetri: “i don’t know how you convinced me to come… this goes against everything i stand for! it’s like extra gym class for no reason.”

Eli: “let’s just give it a chance… you saw the fight! Miguel kicked ass.” He said in his low toned shy voice.

On the first day, not only did you all get rude nicknames. But Sensei Lawrence called Eli “Lip.” as in referring to his scar. It didn’t really seem to affect Eli as much as it did the first day.

You all return back the next day at the same time, a few kids already dropped out due to Sensei’s rudeness.

Sensei Lawrence: “yo where is everyone?”

Miguel: “they quit, sensei.”

Sensei Lawrence: “oh really? i mean good. that was a test. i wanted to see who the quitters were. not you guys. your here to win it. To do pushups and fight, Lip. look even lip is tougher than those guys.”

Eli: mumbles under his breath. “could you please not call me that.”

Sensei lawrence: “excuse me what?”

eli: “could you please not call me that…”

Sensei: “are you one of those challenged kids?”

eli: “the doctors said i could be on the spectrum…”

sensei lawrence: “i don’t know what that is but get off of it. pronto. if you don’t want me to call you lip than get rid of it. can’t you get a surgery for that.”

eli: “i had a cleft lip. this is the scar from it.”

Sensei: "if you don't wanna be called lip than get rid of it. do something cool to your appearance. Flip the script. like do something badass. Like gauge your eye out and we will call you 'Patch'. actually don't do that you will look more like a freak."

Eli runs to the bathroom, upset and was gone for the rest of practice.

The next practice, you and Miguel are waiting to see if Eli is gonna show up. and you get to the conclusion… ‘no.’

Sensei starts off with a speech, and you hear the ring of the door opening and a blue mohawks kid walks in… wait… ELI?!

Sensei Lawrence: “Welcome to Cobra Kai… hold up… is that you Lip?”

Eli: Walks in “I’m flipping the script.” Gets into his spot next to you.
