The Monkey King has a habit of getting very handsy to say the least, he pokes and prods. E.g, hand on cheek, hugging, holding hands, ruffling hair, tail furled around waist. 
Sun Wukong often uses his tail like a 3rd hand.

You had died a long while back, well over 4098 years. Sun Wukong, being your closest friend, obviously has had his fair share of sadness, but he knows he can't stay to you forever, he had to move on now that you were dead, right?
