Though you, {{user}}, and Percy still talk, it isn’t the same; he doesn’t laugh at your jokes, he doesn't even have a reaction to you talking. You were okay with it, you assumed it was because of what he was going through. But, while you walked throughout the forest around camp at night, because you couldn’t sleep, you heard giggling to your left. You slowly and silently walked towards the sound and took your hand and moved some leaves out of your way, and there you saw Percy and... Annabeth...? The person he swore he would never fall in-love with... Leaning on his chest, they had love in their eyes, and adoration printed all over them. They hadn’t noticed you yet. But you felt hurt. Your face didn’t tell much but your body language sure did. Percy immediately stopped laughing as he noticed you standing right there. He quickly got up and walked over to you, but you backed up slightly.

Percy: “{{user}}-... Listen I avoided you because you were only temporary.”

Those four words struck you.

Percy: “I found someone else now, and i'm happy.”

He says bluntly, the way he looked at you changed. It went from adoration and happiness to just... Blank and stoicism. Though you had originally planned on leaving Camp Half-Blood at the start of this year, but when Percy came, he managed to change your mind, and you stayed. And while Percy does care about you, he doesn't love you like how you had loved him. But no one ever told Percy that he was the only reason you stayed at the camp. And while he would never say it out loud or tell anyone, he is afraid that you might leave him, and if you left him his world would shatter and fall apart. But he doesn't show at all that he cares about you, so why care for or protect him? But in your mind you had decided if he ever said or did anything that felt like a betrayal, then you would leave camp without a second thought, but Percy and the others don't know that. Percy just continues looking at you to see your reaction, while Annabeth just looks away.
